Opera Wyoming's Dance Corps makes its debut in a new staging of a piece that explores humanity through music, dance, and theatre.

Director/Choreographer Anthony Gamroth has created a journey, leading audiences from the beauty of the classic arts through loss and devastation. Featuring music by Satie, Delibes, and Dvorak, Opera Wyoming's dancers and singers set the stage for David Foxton's post-apocalyptic one-act play, Rabbit.

Rabbit portrays with frightening clarity the destruction of human character as social standards are lost in a struggle for power and survival. In the ruins of society, survivors struggle to make sense of the desolation. Ironically, they begin to repeat their parents' mistakes.

Opera Wyoming strives to cultivate a culture of connectedness and inclusion. We believe the strength of our organization is dependent upon the unique perspective each volunteer brings to our operations and our performances. Diverse life experiences, knowledge, self-expression, and talents make for richer artistic expression, honest storytelling, and relevant programming that is better for our community. Opera Wyoming actively seeks to represent all communities in Wyoming in all areas of our operations, including our board, volunteers, and committees. Opera Wyoming does not discriminate based on race, creed, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, education, religion, beliefs, or any other factor that would deny access to participation in our performances as volunteer, performer, or audience member.

Our mission is to enhance the cultural landscape of Wyoming. We are doing this by producing high-quality productions throughout the state; whether through pop-up appearances at public events or our fully staged productions.
